Kudos Omaha!

Finally, some respect for the big O! Kiplingers lists Omaha as the number three place to live in the country. Now I realize not everyone is going to agree with this ranking, but they do lay out their criteria and essentially the formula they used to come up with their rankings. I think the big thing to take away from this is that there is a lot to be jazzed about here in Omaha and it is nice to get some accolades from outside the state. I've lived here since 1994 (wow, that is ridiculous to type and say outloud) and this is HOME! I can't imagine living somewhere else. I love to travel, but Omaha is where I call HOME!

Meet Hank!

Yes, I may need my head checked. I have always wanted two dogs. I definitely wanted a companion for Ellie. Hank is literally her little brother. I was able to go with the same breeder and get the same parents. They look quite a lot alike and the mannerisms they share is quite uncanny. I won't say things have been easy over the past two days, but things are definitely much smoother the second time around. I've got my fingers crossed hoping he will be potty trained quicker than Ellie was.

I had three names in mind. Boone, Hank, and Hutch. I have no idea where I came up with Boone, I just like the name. Hank is after Henry (Hank) Aaron the true King of home runs. Hutch is after one of my favorite patients at work. No one outside of work seemed to like Hutch and my brother claims that everyone thought Boone was too red neck. So not wanting my dog to be harassed by Andy and all his buds for life I went with Hank.
